Noise for Your Eyes is the second independent EP release by Earthsuit. All of the songs from this EP (except for the live tracks) were eventually modified and included on the band's full-length release, Kaleidoscope Superior. Although this EP does not explicitly feature a song by the name of "Noise for Your Eyes," portions of a live version are heard in the Youthstock tracks. The Rise of Modern Simulation would later feature a studio version of the song.

EP differences

The songs on the EP that also appear on Kaleidoscope Superior are demo versions and therefore sound significantly different.

  • "Whitehorse" has three more chords played after the two opening chords at the very beginning of the song, and they are played by a harp. The rest of the song is mostly the same, albeit a different recording. There is one very different part, however: the bridge contains Paul's "Same old, same old" reggae-rap section that was later used in the song "1-2-3."
  • "One Time (Remix)" is a remix which obviously sounds very different from either the album or Earthsuit version of the song, including the reversal of the bridge and second rap. The most notable thing about this track is that it uses Adam LaClave's verse vocals, as well as updated Paul Meany vocals that include the word "Earthsuit." This makes it closer to the album version than the version from Earthsuit.
  • "Said the Sun to the Shine" is very similar to the album version; it possibly even uses the same vocal and instrumental recordings. The main differences are that the song sounds less layered, does not include the extra guitar or organ parts, and has simpler chorus lyrics: Paul simply repeats the phrase "Said the sun to the shine," without "Come shadow what you find" or "You and I forever bind."
  • "Wheel of God" is mostly the same song as the "Wheel" on Kaleidoscope Superior; just a different recording. There is also a different choice of synthesizer for the song's intro.
