In 2003, he was one of the founders of Piratbyrån, the pro-piracy organization that, in turn, once founded BitTorrent tracker The Pirate Bay. Since then he has been lecturing extensively, on subjects related to "the collapse of copyright" and the future of music, at various European conferences addressing art and/or new media. Fleischer founded the term "national left" [http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasmus_Fleischer#cite_note-0] for those in the Swedish leftist movement supporting national sovereignty and the Geneva Conventions, especially mentioning organizations such as Folket i Bild/Kulturfront. He also became controversial in the Swedish left for supporting Israel in its war against Hezbollah and Lebanon 2006.
