Season 0 (Pilot): 1996
The pilot episode of Hey Arnold! was released by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies on July 10, 1996 in theaters with Nickelodeon's first movie, Harriet the Spy. It was later remade into the episode "24 Hours to Live" which was shown on February 3, 1997.

Arnold and Gerald decide to take the bus a few too many stops past the school and end up downtown without money - until someone drives by and throws them a bag of cash.
Eugene's Bike: When Eugene's bicycle is ruined thanks to Arnold, Arnold realizes that he's been involved in quite a few of Eugene's accidents, so he takes him out for a day of fun - well, fun for Arnold, but mishaps for Eugene.2 2 "The Little Pink Book / Field Trip" October 9, 1996 02 The Little Pink Book: Helga's little pink book, full of love poems about Arnold, falls into his hands, and she has to get it back before he gets to the last page (the only place where she put her own name), even if it means hiding in his closet all night.
Field Trip: While on a class field trip to the aquarium, Arnold learns that a turtle named Lockjaw is being unfairly treated by people who make fun of him. So he convinces his grandmother to aid in helping him sneak into the aquarium and set the miserable turtle free.3 3 "Arnold's Hat / Stoop Kid" October 14, 1996 03 Arnold's Hat: Helga steals Arnold's hat to complete her secret shrine - a statue in the shape of his head made from Arnold-chewed bubble gum - but he feels he's lost a part of himself. In order for Helga to fix the problem, she has to get the hat, which her mother tossed into the trash that is now on its way to the dump.
Stoop Kid: While playing football on the street, Arnold kicks the ball and it ends up on Stoop Kid's stoop. According to Gerald, Stoop Kid is a boy who has been living on that particular stoop ever since he was born. Arnold tries to wait for him to leave so he can get his football back, but learns that he never leaves his stoop. Faced with this fact, he tries to convince Stoop Kid to overcome his habit by taking a step off the stoop.4 4 "Helga's Makeover / The Old Building" October 16, 1996 04 Helga's Makeover: Due to her tomboyish nature, Helga is the only girl not invited to Rhonda's slumber party. Feeling left out she gives herself a makeover, and goes to it anyway.
The Old Building: Arnold is caught in the middle when Grandma and Ernie argue about whether an old theater should be torn down or not.5 5 "6th Grade Girls / The Baseball" November 4, 1996 05 6th Grade Girls: Having met Connie and Maria, girls in the 6th grade, Arnold and Gerald, passing themselves off as 6th graders, attend a 6th grade dance.
The Baseball: When Arnold discovers that his favorite baseball player is retiring after one final game, he and Gerald go to the game only to get bad seats.6 6 "Heat / Snow" November 11, 1996 06 Heat: A heat wave engulfs the city; Arnold and Gerald try to find ways to escape the heat.
Snow: A snowstorm comes to the city. Arnold's Grandpa tries to teach him work ethic while his friends play without him.7 7 "Operation Ruthless / The Vacant Lot" November 18, 1996 07 Operation Ruthless: While the "Cheese Festival" is in town, Helga attempts to eliminate Arnold's interest in Ruth, a girl he likes.
The Vacant Lot: When Arnold and Gerald find a vacant lot and turn it into a baseball field that they deem "Gerald Field", the bullies overexert their power and take it for themselves.8 8 "The List / Haunted Train" November 25, 1996 08 The List: Arnold attempts to do everything on "The List For A Kid's Perfect Saturday", a list that no kid has ever been able to finish in one Saturday, but finds it hard going.
Haunted Train: Arnold, Gerald, and Helga hear Grandpa's "Legend of the Haunted Train" and head for the abandoned train station where it's said to appear - and the train that pulls up to the station at midnight matches the description.9 9 "Mugged / Roughin' It" December 2, 1996 09 Mugged: Arnold learns the secrets of self defense from his Grandma after getting held up by a thug.
Roughin' It: Grandpa takes Arnold and Gerald on a weekend camping trip. As they set up the campsite, Bob, Helga, and Phoebe show up in a high-tech RV to rough it as well. Then, as everyone hikes up a mountain trail while exploring the great outdoors, they get lost in the wilderness. Arnold and Gerald agree to help everyone find their way back to their campsite by using Grandpa's survival tips.10 10 "Door #16 / Arnold as Cupid" December 9, 1996 10 Door #16: Arnold is given a package, which is for the mysterious Mr. Smith. Meanwhile, all of the boarders become curious about figuring out what is contained in it. Now, Arnold and Gerald try to make a safe delivery while searching all over town for Mr. Smith so they can give it to him.
Arnold as Cupid: After getting into an argument with Suzie, Oskar is kicked out of his room in the boarding house. Feeling rejected by her, he tries to find a new room to sleep in, but no one agrees to it. Then, with no other option, he decides to move into Arnold's room. Soon, Arnold becomes tired of Oskar sleeping in his room, so Arnold plays cupid to try to string Oskar and Suzie's relationship together again.11 11 "Arnold's Christmas" December 14, 1996 19 Arnold's Christmas: Arnold tries to find Mr. Hyunh's daughter (they were separated in the Vietnam War) as he carries out his duty as Mr. Hyunh's secret Santa. Meanwhile, Helga attempts to find the perfect Christmas present for Arnold. 12 12 "Benchwarmer / Cool Jerk" December 16, 1996 11 Benchwarmer: Arnold and the gang play on a basketball team, but their coach tells them to throw the ball to one person, his son, Tucker.
Cool Jerk: A cool older boy named Frankie G. befriends Arnold but soon he realizes that he is part of a street tough gang who needs him to break into a store.13 13 "The Subway / Wheezin' Ed" December 23, 1996 12 The Subway: The gang encounters trouble while traveling on the subway.
Wheezin' Ed: The gang travels to Elk Island to find a pirate treasure.14 14 "Tutoring Torvald / Gerald Comes Over" December 30, 1996 13 Tutoring Skipper: Arnold must tutor a 13-year-old fourth grade bully in math.
Gerald Comes Over: Gerald visits Arnold at his house and gets to know about its wacky inhabitants.15 15 "Spelling Bee / Pigeon Man" January 6, 1997 14 Spelling Bee: Arnold competes in a Tri-City spelling bee. Helga's dad encourages her to win, since her sister Olga has never lost one.
Pigeon Man: Arnold confronts a man that has known and trusted pigeons all his life after one of his gets sick.16 16 "Olga Comes Home / Sally's Comet" January 13, 1997 15 Olga Comes Home: Jealous about her smart, talented, popular older sister Olga returning home from college, Helga fiendishly changes one of her grades from an A to B+, her first non-A since third grade. The "B+" sends her into a deep depression.
Sally's Comet: Arnold and Gerald mail in cereal box tops to receive a telescope so they can see the well-known interstellar event known as Sally's Comet. The problem is that it's too bright for them to see the stars. Now they try to convince everybody in the city to turn off their lights.17 17 "Abner Come Home / The Sewer King" January 20, 1997 16 Abner Come Home: Abner, Arnold's beloved pet pig, sees a cat out the window and he runs out of the boarding house to chase it, which leads to him running far away from home. The next morning, Arnold wakes up to realize that Abner is gone. Later, he announces a search party so everyone can help find Abner before something bad happens to him.
The Sewer King: While Arnold goes out to bring Grandpa his golden watch back from the store, he sees a gigantic hole being dug for new sewer pipes at a construction site. As he looks down it, the watch falls out of his pocket and into the sewer. Now, Arnold and Gerald must go down there to retrieve it, only to find that it's in possession of the Sewer King.18 18 "False Alarm / World Records" January 27, 1997 17 False Alarm: Eugene is framed for pulling the fire alarm at school. Arnold interrogates his friends in a makeshift courtroom in the library to discover the real culprit.
World Records: Arnold and his friends try to get into the Guinness Book of Records.19 19 "Magic Show / 24 Hours to Live - Part 2" February 3, 1997 18 Magic Show: While Arnold is carrying out a magic trick, Helga runs away, gets knocked out, and experiences a dream where everyone on Earth is happier with her gone.

24 Hours to Live: Harold challenges Arnold to a fight, and he gives him 24 hours to live.20 20 "Arnold's Valentine" February 10, 1997 20 Arnold's Valentine: On Valentine's Day, Arnold manages to arrange two dates; one with Ruth, the sixth grader he likes, and one with his French penpal Cecile (actually, it's Helga in disguise) - only for the real Cecile to suddenly appear and Arnold to discover what Ruth is really like. New Teacher: After their last teacher, Mrs. Slovak, retires, Arnold's class gets a new one, Mr. Simmons. They play the usual pranks for all new teachers, which he is familiar with. They don't bother him, but when Harold eats his lunch, he loses all hope of being able to teach them and quits. When Lieutenant Major ends up being their next one, they try to get Mr. Simmons back.*Note: Save the Tree was presented in Chroma-Depth 3D (known on Nickelodeon as "3D Nogglevision"). *Note: There is no such rank as "Lieutenant Major" anywhere in the U.S. Military and he's a satire of [[]].

Gerald's Secret: Arnold helps Gerald learn to ride a bike after he discovers he had a traumatizing experience with one once before.3 23 "The Big Scoop / Harold's Kitty" October 5, 1997 29 The Big Scoop: The gang prints the school newspaper, but Helga is disappointed when Arnold refuses to spread rumors through it. She starts her own with the help of Phoebe, but it is based entirely on lies.
Harold's Kitty: Harold finds a cat that he soon grows attached to, only to find out that it belongs to an old lady who he thinks is mean.4 24 "Longest Monday / Eugene's Pet" October 12, 1997 30 Longest Monday: The kids try to avoid getting thrown in dumpsters and trash cans as part of an annual ritual.
Eugene's Pet: After Arnold accidentally kills Henry, Eugene’s pet goldfish, he must find a replacement pet for him.5 25 "Monkey Business / Big Caesar" October 19, 1997 31 Monkey Business: Helga thinks she will die from a superstitious 19th century disease, monkeynucleosis, after coming into contact with a monkey.
Big Caesar: Arnold and Gerald compete in a fishing competition against thier friends to catch a legendary fish named Big Caesar.6 26 "Ransom / Ms. Perfect" October 26, 1997 32 Ransom: Timberly's doll gets stolen so Gerald and Arnold try to find it, only to find out she was the thief.
Ms. Perfect: Lila, a new student, comes to P.S. 118. Helga and the other girls play tricks on her in an attempt to drive her out of the social hierarchy.7 27 "Arnold's Halloween" October 31, 1997 40 Arnold's Halloween: This episode is a parody of the panic caused by Orson Welles' adaptation of "The War of the Worlds". The whole city mistakes a Halloween prank set up by Arnold and Gerald as an actual alien invasion.
*Note: This episode airs 59 years and 3 days to the day of Orson Welles' radio broadcast on which this episode is based. The alien costumes that the gang wears in this episode resemble the Talosians of the pilot Star Trek episode, The Cage.8 28 "Arnold Saves Sid / Hookey" November 2, 1997 33 Arnold Saves Sid: Arnold saves Sid from being "crushed" by a large sign, so he decides to become his servant to repay him, much to his chagrin.
*Note: Despite Ms. Slovak leaving the show in Season 2, she appears in Arnold Saves Sid, causing a continuity error. This is due to a resequencing of episodes, causing deviation from production order.
Hooky: Arnold and Gerald play hooky and have to sneak around everywhere to avoid being caught.9 29 "Freeze Frame / Phoebe Cheats" November 9, 1997 34 Freeze Frame: Arnold and Gerald accidentally film a man putting a note in the hollow of a tree. Thinking he might be suspicious, they decide to investigate his actions, and become embroiled in a conspiracy.
Phoebe Cheats: Phoebe cheats in a poetry contest in her class by copying a poem out of a book. However, she thinks the statue of Emily Dickinson that she wins is calling her a cheater, such is her guilty conscience.10 30 "Mud Bowl / Gerald Moves Out" November 16, 1997 35 Mud Bowl: Wolfgang and the other fifth graders challenge Arnold and his friends to a football game, but he has to first persuade them that his plays are good enough for them to win.
Gerald Moves Out: Gerald, getting tired of his family bugging him, moves out of his home and into Arnold's boarding house, only to realize emancipation is not all it is cracked up to be.11 31 "The High Life / Best Friends" November 23, 1997 36 The High Life: Gerald becomes an entrepreneur out of selling watches until the market becomes saturated.
Best Friends: Rhonda and Nadine fall out over working on a project at school, leaving Arnold to work with both of them separately.12 32 "Steely Phil / Quantity Time" December 6, 1997 37 Steely Phil: Arnold's Grandpa enters a Chinese Checkers tournament to reclaim his pride lost forty years ago. Robby Fisher's name is a parody of Bobby Fischer.
Quantity Time: Helga's mother tries to let her and her father, Bob, bond.13 33 "Eating Contest / Rhonda's Glasses" December 7, 1997 38 Eating Contest: Arnold enters an eating contest.
Rhonda's Glasses: Rhonda gets glasses and finds out what it is like to be a "Geek".14 34 "Helga's Boyfriend / Crush on Teacher" December 14, 1997 21 Helga's Boyfriend: Helga uses Stinky as her boyfriend to try and make Arnold jealous.

Crush on Teacher: Arnold develops a crush on Miss Felter, a substitute teacher, thinking he is having dinner at her house, only to realize otherwise.15 35 "Hall Monitor / Harold's Bar Mitzvah" December 20, 1997 22 Hall Monitor: Phoebe becomes hall monitor and asks Helga for tips. She becomes overwhelmed by the "power" and soon everyone wants the old Phoebe back, even Helga once she realizes Phoebe's also giving her detentions.

Harold's Bar Mitzvah: Harold runs away from his Bar Mitzvah, thinking he will retain his childhood this way.16 36 "Coach Wittenberg / Four-Eyed Jack" December 21, 1997 23 Coach Wittenberg: Arnold and his friends get Coach Wittenberg to be their new bowling coach.

Four-eyed Jack: The ghost of a former boarding house resident is believed to have been causing strange occurrences in there when Arnold and Gerald find an old pair of glasses believing to have belonged to him.17 37 "Eugene Goes Bad / What's Opera, Arnold?" January 4, 1998 39 Eugene Goes Bad: After finding out that his idol is a haughty, primped actor, Eugene sets out to become bad.
What's Opera, Arnold?: Helga falls asleep and has her own "parody/dream" of the opera Carmen.18 38 "Tour de Pond / Teachers Strike" January 11, 1998 24 Tour de Pond: Arnold and a descendant of his grandpa's arch enemy, Rex Smythe-Higgins, compete in a boat race.

Teachers Strike: Teachers of Arnold's school go on strike because of inadequate funding; He and his friends are on cloud nine, only to find out that every lost school day will be taken from their summer vacation.19 39 "Runaway Float / Partners" January 18, 1998 25 Runaway Float: After creating an idea for a parade float, Arnold is confident of it showing up in a parade.

Now, she tries to sneak into there and steal its tape before anyone hears it.
Harold the Butcher: As punishment for shoplifting a ham, Harold is forced to work for Mr. Green at his butcher shop. Later, after his work shift to pay for it is over, he soon learns that he actually likes his new after-school job and doesn't want to stop working there, much to the dismay of Mr. Green.2 41 "Dangerous Lumber / Mr. Hyunh Goes Country" August 21, 1998 42 Dangerous Lumber: Arnold has a lethal baseball bat swing, causing him to unintentionally knock out other players, so he decides never to play the sport again, mere days before a baseball game against the fifth graders.
Mr. Hyunh Goes Country: Mr. Hyunh has a talent for country singing, so Arnold and Gerald, after recording a CD with him at the local studio, become his managers and make him a big star, much to his dislike. (Guest voice: Randy Travis)3 42 "Casa Paradiso / Gerald's Tonsils" August 28, 1998 43 Casa Paradiso: When Grandpa Phil decides to sell the boarding house to live in a condo, Arnold and the boarders band together to attempt to persuade him to change his mind.
Gerald's Tonsils: Gerald's voice is deepened after having his tonsils out-just in time for a school music recital.4 43 "Arnold's Room / Helga vs. Big Patty" September 5, 1998 44 Arnold's Room: Sid borrows Arnold's room in order to study with his rich classmate.
Helga vs. Big Patty: Helga harasses Patty to the point that she challenges her to a fight.5 44 "Stinky Goes Hollywood / Olga Gets Engaged" September 12, 1998 45 Stinky Goes Hollywood: Stinky becomes the new Yahoo Soda poster child, but gives it up when it's revealed that he was hired as a joke.
Olga Gets Engaged: Olga gets engaged to a con man who does not exactly woo Helga as he did the rest of her family, but she decides to let the marriage happen so Olga can be miserable. But she is given a change of heart from Arnold, and attempts to stop it.6 45 "Curly Snaps / Preteen Scream" September 19, 1998 46 Curly Snaps: Curly locks himself in the principal's office after being skipped as the person who collects kick balls after recess.
Preteen Scream: Phoebe wins a chance to meet her favorite singer, only to find out that he doesn't write or sing his own songs.7 46 "Grandpa's Birthday / Road Trip" September 26, 1998 47 Grandpa's Birthday: Grandpa thinks he's going to die at age 81, thanks to a family curse.
Road Trip: When Bob has to go to a business meeting, Helga and Miriam end up on a road trip, where she tells her how much of a bad mother she is.8 47 "Sid's Revenge / Roller Coaster" October 7, 1998 48 Sid's Revenge: Sid swears vengeance with a voodoo doll made out of a bar of soap carved into the form of Principal Wartz for giving him detention for a prank he didn't pull, and then believes that he killed him.
Roller Coaster: A roller coaster breaks down while Eugene and Arnold are at the top of its tallest drop.9 48 "The Aptitude Test / Oskar Gets a Job" October 14, 1998 49 The Aptitude Test: Helga thinks she's dim because she failed an aptitude test at school, only to discover she received Harold's test score, and vice versa.
Oskar Gets a Job: Oskar gets a job as a newspaper carrier but uses Arnold as cover for his laziness.10 49 "Arnold Betrays Iggy / Helga and the Nanny" October 17, 1998 50 Arnold Betrays Iggy: Iggy confides in Arnold that he wears a pink bunny suit as his pajamas, but he strains the friendship when he accidentally lets the secret slip.
Helga and the Nanny: Bob hires a nanny to help Miriam around the house, whom Helga tries to scare away.11 50 "Career Day / Hey Harold!" October 21, 1998 51 Career Day: Arnold gets paired with the bitter Jolly Olly Man as part of Career Day.
Hey Harold!: Harold is invited to Rhonda's party and befriends the female bully, Big Patty.12 51 "Best Man / Cool Party" November 7, 1998 52 Best Man: Coach Wittenburg assigns Arnold the duty of best man at his second wedding.
Cool Party: Rhonda holds a cool-people-only party at her house. In retaliation, Arnold and his friends hold a "geek" party on the roof of his boarding house further up the street, leaving Rhonda's party deserted.13 52 "Arnold & Lila / Grand Prix" November 14, 1998 53 Arnold & Lila: Arnold gets more attention than he bargained for from Lila after Helga writes "Arnold Loves Lila" on the wall, and Lila finds out about it.
Grand Prix: The kids compete in a grand prix race against each other.14 53 "Arnold's Thanksgiving" November 21, 1998 59 Arnold's Thanksgiving: Arnold and Helga are sick of their families' Thanksgiving traditions. They meet and go to Mr. Simmons', only to realize that, compared to Thanksgiving with his family, theirs aren't so bad after all. 15 54 "Helga's Show / The Flood" November 25, 1998 54 Helga's Show: Helga tells jokes about her classmates, who take offense to it.
The Flood: The town is flooded and Arnold's class is trapped in the school.16 55 "Phoebe Takes the Fall / The Pig War" December 5, 1998 55 Phoebe Takes the Fall: Helga demands that Phoebe lose a quiz competition to impress her competitive father.
The Pig War: Arnold, Grandpa, and friends reenact the Pig War.17 56 "Part-Time Friends / Biosquare" December 12, 1998 26 Part-Time Friends: Arnold is okay with working with Gerald at Mrs. Vitello's flower shop, but not with working for Gerald, which causes the friendship to hit a snag.

Biosquare: As a science assignment, Arnold and Helga have to work together, and get along with each other, for 24 hours in the Sunset Arms greenhouse.18 57 "Crabby Author / Rich Kid" December 19, 1998 56 Crabby Author: Arnold does his school report on an author he likes, only to find that she's a grumpy hag.
*Note: Lorenzo had already appeared in the previous episodes "Arnold's Room", "Cool Party", and various season 3 episodes.
Rich Kid: Lorenzo, a rich kid, comes to the school, and Arnold devises a way to free him from an overscheduled life and include him in various activities with his friends.19 58 "Girl Trouble / School Dance" January 9, 1999 57 Girl Trouble: Arnold snaps at school after Helga tries his patience once too often.
School Dance: Arnold is in charge of the school dance. He books has-been singer Dino Spumoni, and when he sings a depressing "good-bye" song, all fingers point at Arnold.20 59 "School Play" March 12, 1999 58 School Play: After hearing that Arnold is Romeo in the school play of Romeo and Juliet, Helga does everything she can to get the part of Juliet and kiss him. 21 60 "Full Moon / Student Teacher" March 13, 1999 60 Full Moon: Harold, Stinky and Sid all moon Principal Wartz, but Arnold gets the blame for it as an innocent bystander and refuses to reveal who really did it.

Student Teacher: Helga's sister Olga stays over for the holiday, but takes charge of her class at school, to her horror.22 61 "Big Gino / Jamie O. in Love" March 17, 1999 61 Big Gino: After Sid works off a debt with loan shark Big Gino, the two become friends, but when Arnold thinks he has changed for the worse, he has to choose between the two.
Jamie O. in Love: Gerald's older brother, Jamie O., has a sudden burst of kindness when he finds a girlfriend. Arnold and Gerald find out she's actually taking advantage of him.23 62 "Eugene's Birthday / Stinky's Pumpkin" March 20, 1999 62 Eugene's Birthday: Arnold feels obliged to throw another birthday party for Eugene after losing the invitations.
Stinky's Pumpkin: Stinky grows a huge pumpkin for the City-Wide Vegetable Fair.24 63 "The Beeper Queen / Oskar Can't Read?" March 26, 1999 63 The Beeper Queen: After Bob pops his spine, Miriam runs Big Bob's Beepers. She gets in over her head and forgets about her family.
Oskar Can't Read?: Arnold finds out that Oskar is illiterate and tries to teach him to read.25 64 "Dinner for Four / Phoebe Skips" March 27, 1999 64 Dinner for Four: Helga wants to show Arnold that she can be as sophisticated as Lila is by taking him, Gerald, and Phoebe out to dinner with a coupon she won. She devises a plan to get out of paying when she discovers they're at the wrong restaurant.

Big Sis: A sibling program lets Olga be an older sister figure for Lila, much to Helga's irritation and jealousy.14 80 "Bag of Money / Principal Simmons" April 5, 2000 80 Bag of Money: Sid, Gerald, and Arnold find a bag of money in an alley. When Arnold loses it to a strange woman, he is suspected of taking the money himself. Gerald is the only one who believes him.
Principal Simmons: Mr. Simmons becomes principal after Principal Wartz has one too many outbursts.15 81 "New Bully on the Block / Phoebe Breaks a Leg" April 12, 2000 81 New Bully on the Block: Wolfgang becomes jealous when a new bully comes on the block so Arnold tries to make them be friends.
Phoebe Breaks a Leg: Phoebe breaks her leg after being hit by a bus while running errands for Helga, who feels horrible and attends to her every whim. She likes the attention and pretends to be injured a little while longer.16 82 "Parents Day" April 12, 2000 97 Parents Day: The kids all take part in the annual parent-child sports weekend, but Arnold feels left out and asks his grandfather about his real parents' whereabouts.

Ernie in Love: Ernie meets a plus-sized woman, but feels insecure that one like her would be interested in a man like him. Lola voiced by Jennifer Tilly.19 85 "Summer Love (a.k.a. Beach Story)" May 25, 2000 84 Summer Love: Arnold goes on vacation to the beach with his grandparents and the other boarders, intending to get away from Helga who, as usual, has been harassing him. Much to both of their surprises, Helga and her parents are also there. They both dream that night what it would be like if they were married. The episode is noticeable as perhaps being the best evidence of his own suppressed affection for her, as she nearly confesses her love for him in his own dreams. 8 93 "On the Lam / Family Man" June 7, 2002 91 On the Lam: Harold, Sid, and Stinky hide from the law after thinking they blew up the police station. They also kidnap Arnold and escape from the law, and the police are after them. He, bound and gagged, manages to untie himself.
Family Man: Mr. Hyunh wants to be the new head chef at the restaurant he works for. He pretends that the boarders are his family to impress his family-man obsessed boss, who comes round to have dinner with them.9 94 "The Racing Mule / Curly's Girl" October 18, 2002 92 The Racing Mule: Oskar, Ernie, and Mr. Hyunh train a horse to win a race, along with help from Arnold.
*When this episode was originally intended to air, on October 11, 2002, Nickelodeon began airing "Married" instead. The network did not catch the mistake until just after the second half began, when they switched to the regularly scheduled "Curly's Girl". After this gaffe, Nickelodeon did not rerun it until November 19, 2003, when they repeated the same mistake. On January 11, 2004, it was finally aired in full.
Curly's Girl: Rhonda's mother's coat gets dirtied. Curly offers to clean it for her in his parents' dry cleaning store on one condition: They agree to, publicly, be a couple, much to her disgust. This is a parody of the romantic comedy Can't Buy Me Love.10-11 95-96 "The Journal" November 15, 2002 99-100 The Journal: Arnold finds a diary and map that tell him more about his parents, and their possible current location.
*This is the real final episode in the whole series as it was the final one to be made in 2002. It was supposed to lead into the proposed "Jungle Movie", which was never made.12 97 "Timberly Loves Arnold / Eugene, Eugene!" January 31, 2003 93 Timberly Loves Arnold: Gerald's little sister Timberly falls for Arnold after playing in the park. He uses her as a way of getting Lila's attention.
Eugene, Eugene!: Arnold and his friends take part in the musical Eugene, Eugene. Eugene, who gets the lead role, is outraged when the ending of the play is altered, and he and Arnold conspire to restore the play back to its original ending.13 98 "A Day in the Life of a Classroom / Big Bob's Crisis" November 14, 2003 95 A Day in the Life of a Classroom: A film crew shoots a documentary of Mr. Simmons' class to be screened on TV, but he feels that they should follow a script, rather than be spontaneous.
Big Bob's Crisis: Bob becomes brainwashed by a cult, and he and his family live without material possessions, much to Helga's horror.14 99 "Ghost Bride / Gerald vs. Jamie O" November 15, 2003 94 Ghost Bride: After Gerald's urban tale, the kids go looking for a murderous ghost whose fiancé left her at the altar. They look for her in a cemetery, but Helga and Curly both have other ideas.
Gerald vs. Jamie O: Gerald acquires a crush on his new neighbor, Chloe. It turns out that she only spends time with him to see his brother, Jamie O.15 100 "Phoebe's Little Problem / Grandpa's Packard" June 8, 2004 96 Phoebe's Little Problem: Phoebe is embarrassed after passing gas into a microphone and is afraid to come back to school, despite Arnold's, Gerald's, Helga's and others' efforts to console her.
