chool History

In the early 1960s the pastor, Msgr. John Corrigan founded this high school to provide a Catholic education to young men in the parish and surrounding areas. Selected at that time to conduct St. Raymond High School for Boys were the Brothers of the Christian Schools, whose association with St. Raymond Parish spans more than a century.

St. John Baptist De La Salle, founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, was committed to attracting students regardless of their means, their academic skills, racial or ethnic backgrounds. Thus, St. Ray's was to become another La Sallian school, one of many throughout the world. In the more than four decades since its inception, over 6,000 students have gained a quality high school education based on Catholic beliefs and values and a strong academic foundation.

In 1996, St. Raymond High School for Boys was recognized as a "Blue Ribbon School of Excellence" by the United States Education Department for the quality of its programs and service to its students, their families, and the community. St. Raymond High School for Boys was one of only 50 private high schools in the nation to be bestowed with this honor.

Today, St. Raymond boasts a talented and diverse population of 765 young men. The scope of the academic offerings has widened. The community is tightly knit in its faith and passion for promoting excellence for tomorrow's.
