Simplified Chinese : 天津奥林匹克中心体育场) is astadium inTianjin ,China . Construction started in August 2003 and was completed in August 2007.The stadium hosted games for the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup and Football preliminaries at the
2008 Summer Olympics . It covers 78,000 square meters and has a capacity of 60,000. It as a length of 380 meters, a width of 270 meters, and a height of 53 meters. It is nicknamed the "Water Drop" because the outside of the venue is designed to resemble a drop of water. The stadium cost nearly 1,500,000,000 Yuan to build.References
