Yvon Cormier (born on November 3 1938, in Dorchester, New Brunswick) is a retired Canadian professional wrestler.

Standing 5'10" and weighing at 250-255 lbs. and the oldest of four wrestling brothers, he got started in the business in 1961 with Maritime promoter Emile Duprée, wrestling as Ivan The Lumberjack. When he later ventured to the Mid-Atlantic territory, Jim Crockett Sr. named him The Beast (in some areas he went by the ring name Beast Martin). In the Maritimes, without a doubt The Beast was the most popular wrestler ever.

Cormier wrestled for many promotions, including Mid-Atlantic, Stampede Wrestling, All Star (Montreal), Amarillo, Eastern Sports Association, and Emile Duprée's Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling promotion. He wrestled Giant Baba in Japan before 45,000 people, and participated in numerous chain matches.
