Canadian military , Petitpas was born in Germany but he grew up in a French household inShediac ,New Brunswick . Petitpas lived in a smallAcadian house with a professional wrestler, the well-knownEmile Duprée , living across the street. Petitpas would watch Emile Duprée train in his backyard. By the time he was thirteen and fourteen, he was putting up the ring for Emile. By the age of 15 he was 6ft 3in and weighed 220 pounds and Petitpas refereed some matches forAtlantic Grand Prix Wrestling (AGPW), Emile's famous wrestling promotion.
