- Off-Centre Television
-
Off-Centre Television was a television show produced in Vancouver, BC from January 2006 to December 2006 and airing in Washington State on independent broadcaster KVOS. Taking its roots from shows like Saturday Night Live and the Tom Green Show, Off-Centre Television was a mix of variety, celebrity interviews and sketch comedy. It featured various performers from in and around the Vancouver area, and was credited for giving many little known actors, writers, producers and crew their first television credits. Many sketches were submitted from other comedy groups from around Canada and the United States.
In addition to the obvious comedic slant of Off-Centre Television, the show was also a huge promotional tool for Vancouver independent bands, who up until the point where they appeared on OCTV had not ever been interviewed or performed on a television show. This show was the TV starting point for Victoria B.C. comedienne, singer and actress Kelly Hudson.
