messiah s") was apost-hardcore ensemble fromPorvoo ,Finland . The band started as a raw punk band in 1991, but by the release of their first album, the style had changed into more post-harcore/punk. From 1993 until 1997 Punaiset messiaat toured with other bands of theLevy-yhtiö record company, Tehosekoitin,Apulanta and Lehtivihreät. In 1997 the singer-songwriter Piet Raakalainen left the band to move to London and was replaced by the singer Sarkka Rauta, but the band split up in 1998. In 1999, the band reunited with Piet for a couple of concerts and recorded a new album which was never released as the musicians had moved on to other musical projects, such asDolchamar .Members
