Wapasha

Wapasha

Wapasha was the name of a Sioux chief born around 1720 in present-day Minnesota. He was known for leading successful battles against the Chippewa. Later, his forces fought on the side of the British in the American Revolutionary War. He was succeeded by his son, Wapasha II.
