Alex Party is an Italian dance music project of the electronic dance (club dance) or house music genre. The band consisted of the Italian brothers Paolo and Gianni Visnadi (also of Livin' Joy), DJ Alex Natale and vocalist Robin 'Shanie' Campbell.
Their most famous single to date is "Don't Give Me Your Life", a #2 hit in the UK Singles Chart in early 1995.[1]

"Don't Give Me Your Life"
The group's first single, "Saturday Night Party (Read My Lips)", was an immediate success, and became an Ibiza anthem during the summer of 1993. It became their first Top 40 hit in the UK, peaking at #29.[1] After introducing a singer to the group (Shanie Campbell) they released "Don't Give Me Your Life" single, being an extended remix to the original "Alex Party" track. It reached #2 in the UK chart (their highest charting hit) and #13 in Australia, plus topped the Club Record category at Music Week's 1995 Awards. It was included in many compilation albums all over the world, and remains their most famous release.
Other releases
The group continued to have moderate success following "Don't Give Me Your Life", including "Wrap Me Up", which was released in late 1995, peaking at #17 in the UK[1] and #11 in Australia (where it was the group's last charting single).
A remix of the original "Alex Party" track was released in 1996, entitled "Read My Lips". It reached #28 in the UK chart.[1]
Although the last single which was released in the year 2000 was "U Gotta Be", a rare, unreleased and virtually unknown track entitled "You Can't Escape My Love" appeared on a Portuguese compilation album, named Top Star 2001, on the Vidisco record label.
Remix work
Alongside releasing singles, Alex Natale was assisted by the Visnadi brothers to remix tracks for many artists. Notable artists remixed include 2 Unlimited, The Shamen, Jinny, Clubzone, Everything But The Girl and Gipsy.

Campbell's recent work
Shanie Campbell, the vocalist for the 'Alex Party' project, has produced material in her own solo project where she is known simply as 'Shanie'. There has been only one single released to the general public so far and this, along with the tracks on a few of the DJ promo singles released (with the exception of "Read My Lips 2007") are taken from Shanie's unreleased album 'Night Fever'. The album is mentioned on her official Myspace page,[3] but there have been no updates as to any release date.
