Malaysian Americans are Americans of Malaysian ancestry. Malaysian Americans are a subgroup of the Asian American community.

Many Malaysian American, like other ethnic groups of Southeast Asia, tend to be of full or partial Chinese decent. Many ethnic Malays immigrate or come for work in the United States from Singapore, these individuals may make the actual population of the Malay Community much larger or smaller. This is because some Malays may hold allegiance to Singapore and not Malaysia or visa versa. Malaysian Americans are one of the small Asian sects in the United States.
