† Appearances (Goals).Mozart Santos Batista Júnior, usually known simply as Mozart (born 8 November 1979 in Curitiba, Brazil) is an association footballer. He can play both defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder positions and currently is playing for Livorno in Italy.
He is a midfield maestro and pulls the strings from a deep position. His fortes include being composed on the ball and he orchestrates play from the centre of the park, dictating the tempo of play.

Club career
Mozart started with Paraná Clube. After representing Coritiba and Flamengo in his home country, Mozart embarked on a European adventure, joining Serie A's Reggina Calcio.
In late 2005 Mozart conducted a move to Spartak Moscow, in the Russian Premier League, where he also performed as captain. A desire to return back to Brazil led to a brief interlude with Palmeiras in 2009.[1] Mozart's time at Palmeiras ended in August 2009 he joined Serie A side Livorno.[2]
International career
Mozart was in the Brazil squad for the 2000 Summer Olympics.[1]
