Araneta Center-Cubao LRT Station ."Araneta Center-Cubao MRT Station, usually called Cubao MRT Station, is a station on the Manila MRT Blue Line (MRT-3). Araneta Center-Cubao station is one of the many elevated stations that can be found on the line. The station is located in Cubao inQuezon City and is named because of its location in the district of the same name and its location near the famedAraneta Center , one of the Philippines' most recognized shopping centers.The station is the tenth station for trains headed to North Avenue and the fourth station for trains headed to Taft Avenue. The most recognizable landmark that the station is located at is Araneta Center, home to popular shopping malls such as Ali Mall and Gateway Mall. The Araneta Center complex is also home to the Philippines' most famous stadium, the
Araneta Coliseum .Transportation links
Due to its location at Araneta Center, Araneta Center-Cubao station is located in a major transportation hub. Provincial buses stop at the Araneta Center Bus Terminal within the complex, and jeepneys for various destinations all over Metro Manila and Rizal province, taxis and cycle rickshaws are available upon request. Traffic regulations, however, prohibit cycle rickshaws on EDSA and
Aurora Boulevard .The station is also the transfer point for commuters riding the
Manila Light Rail Transit System 's Purple Line, or MRT-2. It is connected to its namesake station on the Purple Line via a walkway that goes through New Farmer's Plaza, past the Araneta Coliseum and to the station's entrance inside the Gateway Mall.External links
