†"Kuterintja "The family Ilariidae consists of 3 species ofextinct marsupial in two genera. They are all found in the middletertiary assemblage ofSouth Australia . Closely related toKoobor of familyPhascolarctidae , which was found in Hamilton Victoria. Only a few jaw fragments and some teeth of all that is known from all species, they are categorised in a separate family because their teeth structure is unique among Diprotodontia in having a complicated folding pattern. Ilariids were the largest marsupials of their time in theLake Eyre andTarkarooloo basin and lived along withWynyardiidae , "Obdurodon ", andthylacoleonid s (marsupial lion s) like "Priscileo " and "Wakaleo ".References
