Patrick Rose

Patrick Michael Rose (born 10 October 1978) is a Texas Democratic politician, currently serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives from Blanco, Caldwell and Hays Counties, located in Central Texas.

Rose is currently the youngest member of the Texas House of Representatives. He was educated at Princeton University, earning a bachelor's degree with high honors, and The University of Texas, earning a law degree. Rose practices law with the Ratliff Law Firm in Austin.

Rose won by defeating the erstwhile Republican incumbent, Rick Green, in 2002 by less than one percent of all votes cast. The film "" (2004) chronicles Rose's campaign and come-from-behind victory.

Rose was named to the chairmanship of the House Human Services Committee for the 2007-2008 biennium after he supported Republican Tom Craddick for election to a third term as Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives.
