Takarabe, Kagoshima

was a town located in Soo District, Kagoshima, Japan. On July 1, 2005 the town merged with two other towns forming the city of Soo and no longer exists as an independent municipality.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 10,634 and the density of 91.89 persons per km². The total area was 115.72 km².
