State Trunk Highway 35 (often called Highway 35, STH 35 or WIS 35) is a Wisconsin state highway running north-south across western Wisconsin. It is 412.15 miles in length, and is the longest state highway in Wisconsin. Portions of Highway 35 are part of the Great River Road.

Termini

The southern terminus of Highway 35 is at the Illinois - Wisconsin border three miles north of East Dubuque, Illinois, where it continues on as Illinois Route 35. The northern terminus is at the junction of Interstate 535 and U.S. Highway 53 in the city of Superior.

Wisconsin Highway 35 is also known as Tower Avenue in the city of Superior.

History

Highway 35 was begun in 1918 as a route between Saint Croix Falls and ending at Danbury, Wisconsin. The highway was later extended north to Superior, and south to Somerset, Wisconsin, and was later expanded south to the Illinois border.
