They finished the 2007-08 season second from bottom in Top 14, which would normally have caused their relegation. However, Dax received a reprieve when Albi, the team that finished immediately ahead of them on the 2007-08 league table, were forcibly relegated by French sporting authorities due to financial issues.They were founded in 1904. They play at Stade Maurice Boyau (capacity 15,000). They wear red and white. They are based in Dax in the Landes "département" of
