affiliations =WCRT (AM) is a Class B AM
radio station licensed on 1160 kHz forDonelson, Tennessee near Nashville. Broadcasting a format of evangelical preaching andtalk show s, WCRT is owned by Bott Communications, a Christian broadcaster, which bought the station, formerly WAMB, from longtime Nashville broadcasterBill Barry (who now operates a new, lower-poweredWAMB on the frequency of 1200 kHz).The
callsign is derived from Christian Radio Tennessee. WCRT broadcasts at 50,000watt s during the day and 1,000 watts at night. Because the 1160 kHz frequency receives interferenece from aCuban radio station operating in excess of the officially notified power under international treaties, WCRT has maintained aspecial temporary authority since 1990 from theFederal Communications Commission to operate an FM station at night as well. This station has the callsign WCRT-FM1 and, from 1998 on, has operated on 98.7 MHz from one of the WCRT (AM) towers. [cite web
