Daré Nibombé (born 16 June 1980 in Lomé) is a Togolese defender who is currently playing in Saudi Arabia for Al Nassr FC. Nibombé started his football career in Togo. In 1999 he was transferred to ASKO Kara the most important football team in Togo. After two years he was transferred to Ghanaian team Liberty Professionals F.C. but after a couple of seasons, Nibombé returned to AS Douanes in Togo.

Career

R.A.E.C. Mons

In 2003 Nibombé moved to Belgian team R.A.E.C. Mons where he had five successful seasons and established himself as a dominant centre back in Belgian football. Nibombé had several offers from the strongest teams in Belgium but a deal could not be finalised.

CS Otopeni

In 2008, Nibombé rejected moves to Italy, France and Greece and instead moved to CS Otopeni for considerble money, but due to promises not being fulfilled Nibombé decided to move.

Politehnica Timişoara

On January 2009, Nibombé signed with FC Politehnica Timişoara who were in the Champions League qualifing rounds and were building a strong team in order to compete at such a high level. In Uefa Champions League game against UEFA Cup holders, Shakhtar Donetsk, Nibombé played a fantastic match and over the two legs FC Timişoara won. The next tie in the Uefa Champions League was against VfB Stuttgart where Nibombé had two terrific games and caught the attention of several European teams. During the 2009-2010 season, Nibombé established himself as a very important central defender in Liga 1, and extremely important for his team. On 15 June 2010 left FC Timişoara to join FK Baku

FK Baku

FK Baku signed Nibombé signed as they were building a team to compete in the Europa League and so offered Nibombé an extremely lucrative deal.

Arminia Bielefeld

After only six months in Azerbaijan, he left Baku to sign for 2. Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld.

International

Nibombé is a regular member of the national team, and was a starter at the 2006 World Cup and also the 2006 African Cup of Nations.
