Origins
The heart of the original
Frankenstein's Monster is discovered and sent toHiroshima , Japan for study duringWorld War II . The lab is destroyed when the atomic bomb is dropped but the radiation causes the heart to generate into a humanoid child. Years later a young boy, bearing a striking resemblance to the monster, is found living in the wild, killing and eating livestock. Two doctors named Sueko Togami and James Bowen take the child to a lab to care for him, while studying him. The boy starts growing quickly and soon becomes much bigger than an average human. A doctor named Kawaji attempts to take a sample of Frankenstein's body, causing Frankenstein to flee. Frankenstein escapes the lab but loses one of his hands while attempting to escape. The creature comes to sees Sueko one more time before heading back to Hiroshima. The JSDF try to hunt him down, but he escapes from them twice. Kawaji still wants a sample of Frankenstein's body, so he goes after the creature personally with two others. WhenBaragon escapes from underground and attacks them, Frankenstein puts aside his resentment and comes to save them. In the resulting battle, Frankenstein repels Baragon with a tree ignited by the dinosaur's heat breath before breaking his neck. Shortly afterward, a volcanic fissure opens underneath Frankenstein and both monsters are swallowed by the Earth. However, Togami and Bowen both knew that even if he fell to the center of the Earth, Frankenstein's healing powers would keep him alive forever. An alternate ending involved Frankenstein fighting
