John Carfield Sanborn (born October 25, 1887 in Chenoa, Illinois – died May 16, 1968 in Boise, Idaho) was a United States Representative from Idaho. Sanborn served as a Republican in the House from 1947 to 1951.

Sanborn represented the state's Second Congressional District. He was a candidate for United States Senate in 1950 and 1956 but was defeated both times in the Republican primary by Herman Welker.

A Methodist, as of 2008 Sanborn is the last individual to represent the heavily Mormon Idaho's 2nd congressional district in Congress who was not himself a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
