ironstone quarrying, clothing andfootwear industries. A watermill used for grinding corn was converted and used at various times in the 19th Century for the manufacture ofsilk ,worsted andcarpet -weaving, followed by its conversion to a steam mill to makechicory ,mustard , animal foodstuffs andflour . Burton Latimer is now the location of the only
