Karoliniškės is a
microdistrict andelderate ofVilnius ,Lithuania . The district was started to be built in year 1971, and because of its geographical location, became an important part ofVilnius city.Karoliniškės covers about 4 km² area. There is about 1.015 km² of the slop area along the
Neris River, and about 0.11 km² of a small forest, called "Pasakų parkas" ("The park of fairy-tales"). About 45 thousand people live in the elderate.The highest building in Lithuania - the
Vilnius TV Tower - is also situated in this district. Karoliniškės has been the main site of theJanuary Events of 1991.External links
