Brent Rahim (born
8 February 1978 inDiego Martin ) is a football midfielder fromTrinidad and Tobago . He is currently a free agent after leavingSan Juan Jabloteh to finish his degree in sports psychology from UConn. Rahim did completed his degree in December 2006 after taking a hiatus from college to pursue professional and international footballing aspirations. Rahim played at theUniversity of Connecticut , and was drafted toLos Angeles Galaxy in the2001 MLS SuperDraft . However, he rejected the transfer and signed for Joe Public in his homecountry. He later played abroad, including a short spell in English clubWest Ham United where he was loaned toNorthampton Town where he netted once againstQueens Park Rangers in early 2003.Rahim got 49 caps and scored 3 goals for the national team between 2000 and 2005 [http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/trin-recintlp.html] . In May 2005 he was left out of the national team by new coach
