Cochin Refineries School is a higher secondary school situated in Kochi, Kerala, India.

Overview

The school was established in 1966 for children of employees of erstwhile Kochi Refineries Ltd (KRL). But since the merger of KRL with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), admission is open to children of BPCL and to a limited extent to the public.

The school is situated on the picturesque hilltop of Jwalagiri. The school is run by Cochin Refineries Educational Aid Society and managed by a Board of Governors nominated by the management of BPCL – Kochi Refinery. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE).

The motto of the school is "That they may be refined and radiate".

School song

A happy band from far and near,
We come to learn all good from here
Beloved school CRS hail;
Our love for thee shall never fail
For refinement is our goal,
Of mind and heart and soul
The right and the not the wrong.
We’ll cherish all along
Then firmly let us stand,
Unite in heart and hand.
And pray that God may bless and keep
C.R. School
We gather here where all might sing
Glad songs of trust and praises ring;
Our youthful hearts here find the way
That’ll make our life all good and gay.
