"The Randy Rhoads Years" features a handful of songs from Randy Rhoads' time in Quiet Riot in the 1970s. It features previously-unreleased material and some songs from Quiet Riot's first two albums (which were released only in Japan). However, these songs are not all identical to the versions that appear on the original albums -- on this album, the songs generally are presented in much higher sound fidelity, and some songs have been rearranged. For instance, "Afterglow (Of Your Love)" is presented here in an alternate, acoustic version.

However, the package does NOT feature every song from the two albums. A number of those songs have yet to see any sort of release outside Japan.
