Javier 'Javi' Rodríguez Venta (born 13 December 1975 in Oviedo) is a Spanish footballer, who currently plays as a defender for Villarreal CF.

After playing his early career with modest Spanish outfits, Venta was bought in 1999 by Villarreal CF, but would spend the next three seasons with the B-team (CD Onda) and on loan stints (he made his "La Liga" debut in 2001-02, appearing in 29 league contests for CD Tenerife, who ranked second from bottom).

In 2002-03, Venta returned to Villarreal, and went on to become a steady first-choice throughout the seasons. In 2004-05, as the Valencia side achieved a then club-high third league place, he appeared in 32 league matches. He was subsequently named by Spain manager Luis Aragonés in his provisional 27-man squad for the 2006 World Cup, but would not make the final cut.
