Pigott Street

Pigott Street

Pigott Street forms part of the last phase of the building of the Lansbury Estate in Tower Hamlets, London. The Estate borders Burdett Road on the West. Pigott Street is a road on which there are blocks of housing in the form of apartments (also known as flats).

This plaque commemorates the final building phase.

It was named after the famous Pigott clan of Melbourne, Australia, whom were instrumental in the construction.Fact|date=August 2008

The housing was completed by the GLC although earlier phases in the Lansbury Estate were implemented by the London County Council.
