Mickey Gallagher started his musical career with The Unknowns. He played with
The Animals during 1965, replacing founding memberAlan Price . He then formed The Chosen Few, where he played alongsideAlan Hull (later part of Lindisfarne). He also played withSkip Bifferty , (Peter)Frampton's Camel , as well as Cochise.His music was a major contribution to Ian Dury and the Blockheads' sound in the 1970s. He played on "
London Calling " and "Sandinista! ", two of the most influential Clash albums, and often appeared live with the group. He also played on "Cut the Crap ", the band's last album (although he was uncredited).Gallagher contributed music to the
film s "Extremes" (1971) and "After Midnight" (1990), and the Broadway play "Serious Money" (1988).He has also performed and recorded with
