"Funny Times" is an American
humor newspaper founded by the husband and wife team of Raymond Lesser and Susan Wolpert in 1985. Each issue is divided into sections such as "Relationships", "Dogs", "Politics", "Current Events", and others. The specific categories change somewhat from issue to issue.The monthly publication is printed entirely on newsprint paper, is ad-free, and the political content is often edgy and has a progressive/liberal perspective. The Funny Times has about 75,000 subscribers. It includes cartoons, comics and stories that point out the humor in today's pop culture, politics and day-to-day living. Subscriptions are $24 per year. FT's editors have also published a book called "Funny Times: The Best of The Best of American Humor."

*Matt Wuerker Since January of 1997, the Funny Times web site has featured something called the Cartoon Playground, in which anyone can create and instantly post their own comic strips using artwork drawn by Matt Wuerker. Some of the very best of these reader-created cartoons are featured in the print edition.
