City Stadium (Stadium Bandaraya in Malay) is a multi-purpose stadium in Penang, Malaysia. The oldest built stadium still in use in Malaysia, it was built in 1956 by the British government[1].The place where the stadium was built originally was a land fill. Previously the main entrance occupied a larger area and presently much reduced. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people. This stadium was the home for Penang state football team.
