Williamsville South High School is one of the three
high schools in Williamsville located in theWilliamsville Central School District , outside ofBuffalo, New York .History
The school was known as Williamsville High School until the opening of additional high schools within the Williamsville Central School District necessitated adding the word "South."

On May 1st, 2007, the school was evacuated when a note was found in a bathroom claiming that a bomb was in the school. Both bands at Williamsville South have long received accolades for their musicianship and performance ability. Recently, at a competition in Virginia Beach, Virginia, both of Williamsville South's bands received ratings of "Superior." Recently, Williamsville South was added to the historical registry making the school a historical monument
