Dr. Neale Fong is a doctor, Australian rules football administrator, Churches of Christ chaplain and former public servant and amateur football player in Perth, Western Australia.

Career
Dr. Fong was the chief executive officer for five years of WA’s largest private hospital], the Subiaco St John of God, when he was recruited by the State Government in 2004 to implement reform in WA’s public health system. He became the executive chairman of the Health Reform and Implementation Taskforce, which is charged with implementing the recommendations of the Reid Report.[1]
He was the Director-General of the Department of Health in WA, and was the highest-paid public servant in Australia with a salary of approximately A$600,000.[2] He resigned in January 2008 after the Corruption and Crime Commission found that he engaged in "serious misconduct" in his relationship with Brian Burke.[2][3]
He is also Chairman of Youth Vision Australia; State Director of Youth Vision WA; Deputy Chairman of the Western Australian Community Foundation Ltd; and founding Partner and Chief Medical Director of the Bali International Medical Centre. He was a director of Australian Healthcare Technology Ltd, but resigned on 18 June 2004; and is a board director of Churches of Christ Homes and Community Services Incorporated, one of the largest aged care providers in WA.
Dr. Fong – who graduated from the University of Western Australia's Graduate School of Management with an MBA in 1996 – has degrees in Medicine and Surgery, and a Masters qualification in Theology.
Football
Dr. Fong is a triple A Grade Fairest & Best medallist with the Western Australian Amateur Football League. He is also Chairman and Commissioner of the West Australian Football Commission, and Chaplain of the West Coast Eagles Football Club. In 2003, Dr. Fong applied for the chief executive officer position at the AFL Commission, but lost to Andrew Demetriou. Dr. Fong is the brother of former WAFL club West Perth captain Les Fong, who played 284 games for West Perth.
