ARICNS =31 Camelopardalis is an eclipsing
spectroscopic binary in theconstellation Camelopardalis . It is approximately 405light years fromEarth .The binary system is classified as a white A-type main sequence dwarf with a mean
apparent magnitude of +5.20. Both component stars are detached main sequence stars which do not fill theirRoche lobe s. Because the components regularly eclipse each other, 31 Camelopardalis is classified as avariable star and its brightness varies from magnitude +5.12 to +5.29 with a period of 2.93 days, which is the orbital period of the binary.Reference
