binary star in theconstellation Caelum . It is approximately 334light years fromEarth .The primary component, γ2 Caeli A, is a yellow-white F-type giant with a mean
apparent magnitude of +6.32. It is classified as a Delta Scuti typevariable star and its brightness varies from magnitude +6.28 to +6.39 with a period of 3.25 hours. The companion star, γ2 Caeli B, has an apparent magnitude of +9.6 and is located 0.886arcsecond s from the primary and spectral type F2IV/V.Reference
