Note: this Mary Draper should not be confused with Mary Draper Ingles.

Mary Draper (1719–1810) is known for the help she gave members of the Continental Army during the American Revolution. Her story is told in Elizabeth F. Ellet's The Women of the American Revolution (1848).

She explains to the people. " I wanted to help Colonists, but my skills in fighting were too weak. So I decided to help by melting down all of my family heirlooms(air looms).They were pewter items and made good bulletts for the Colonists. I know my things are important to me, but they are important for the freedoms which we are fighting."
