- Pudding River
The Pudding River is a tributary of the
Molalla River in theU.S. state ofOregon .Its headwaters are near Sweet Spring Mountain in the
Cascade Range . After emerging from the Cascades, it becomes a slow meandering stream, passing through a region of fertile agricultural lands in the lowerWillamette Valley . Two forks of the Pudding join between the cities of Silverton and Mt. Angel, at coord|45.036368|-122.833275, as the river continues its course northward where it receivesAbiqua Creek from the right at about convert|2|mi|km northwest of Silverton. North of Mt. Angel, Butte Creek, which also comes down from the Cascade Range, past Scotts Mills, empties into the Pudding River at coord|45.160768|-122.773569. The river continues northward past the town of Aurora. For most of its course, it defines part of the boundary between Marion and Clackamas Counties.It is approximately 62 miles (100 km) long and drains an area of approximately 531 square miles (1,375 km²). Its tributaries include the Little Pudding River.
The Pudding River flows into the Molalla River, at coord|45.282375|-122.716856|display=inline,title, just before the Molalla joins the
Willamette River , in a floodplain that is part of theMolalla River State Park , an important habitat for wildlife in theWillamette Valley .ee also
