Egerton is a village and civil parish in the Ashford District of Kent, England. The village is located on the Greensand Ridge nine miles (14.4km) north of Ashford. The parish is a scattered rural one; the settlement of Stonebridge Green, adjacent to Egerton, is also in the parish.

The 13th-century parish church is dedicated to Saint James.

Local villages also include Charing, Charing Heath, Lenham Heath, Egerton Forstal and Pluckley, the most haunted village in England.

Egerton also includes A Pub–cafe (The George); A Hall (The Millenium Hall (provided partly by the National Lottery)); A shop (Egerton Village stores); A Games Barn; A Cricket Pitch; A football Pitch; An internet cafe (The Telecottage) and A Local Primary School.

There are many clubs which are held in the village. These include: The Over 60's Club, The WI, Egerton Players, Film Society and The Laughing Club (Hosted by Cathy Hill).

Egerton is famous locally for their fetes. They are held twice every five years but are always worth waiting for. The next will be held on 4 July 2009.

The old bakers in Egerton, Buckles, was featured on the 1990s comedy "Darling Buds of May".

It also contains many listed properties such as Egerton House, St. James Church and, in fact, a Tumulus, which is a Bronze Age burial ground.
