Robert Dick (b.
January 4 ,1950 ) is an American flutist andcomposer specializing in new music andextended techniques . He was a member of the experimental woodwind trio New Winds withNed Rothenberg andJ. D. Parran .He holds a B.A. from
Yale University and an M.M. in composition from the Yale University School of Music, where he studied with Robert Morris,Jacob Druckman , andBülent Arel .Dick lived in
Switzerland for ten years, but now lives inNew York City . He teaches atNew York University . He has performed withPaul Giger ,Steve Gorn , andMark Dresser .Books
