"Gettin' Some" is first single off of rapper Shawnna's second album "Block Music", which was released in 2006. The song samples Too Short's single "Blowjob Betty." It also features rapper Ludacris in the well known radio edit. The song is an obvious reference to oral sex as the rappers tell in their parts in the song about receiving oral sex from women. The popularity of the song earned Shawnna her first platinum certification as a solo artist by the RIAA on 12/14/06. An official remix was made and was featured on Shawnna's album "Block Music" which features Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Too Short and Pharrell. There's also an extended remix of the track which is on Shawnna's mixtape "Worth Tha Weight, Part 2: The Mixtape". It features over fifteen other rappers.
