The Shaolin Drunken Monk

"The Shaolin Drunken Monk" is a 1982 kung fu film.

The film is generally considered a flop due to below average acting.Fact|date=May 2007 The main character, never learns kung fu from Shaolin or a monk, and the Drunken Kung Fu he does learn he uses rarely. The style of choreography is not the classic Liu seen in "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin"; it mirrors more the Yuen Woo Ping style which is more acrobatic utilizing circulating characters instead of linear movements found in most of Liu's classics. It was directed by Au Yeung Chun and Lau Ka-Liang and produced by Ocean Shores.

Plot

After a Kung Fu master is killed by his own students his son (Liu) must run for his life. Eventually, he discovers a strange man from whom he learns the secret art of Drunken Kung Fu. To avenge his father, he kidnaps the murderer's daughter in hope of bringing him out. After defeating his minions Liu’s character fights to the death so he can finally have his revenge.
