radio station located inFresno, California , broadcasting on 93.7 FM. KSKS airs acountry music format branded as "Kiss Country".Its full name is Kiss Country, although it was nicknamed "Carrie Country" for advertising Carrie Underwood concert at the Save Mart Center.
History
Prior to becoming "Kiss Country" in 1992, the station had an adult contemporary format known as "Y-94" with the callsign KFYE. In the 1980s, Ray Appleton hosted "Lunchtime at the Oldies" on Y-94. Ray would go on to become a popular talk show host at KMJ.
On Thursday, November 16, 2006, CBS radio announced the sale of KSKS and their other Fresno stations to Peak Broadcasting.
