KSAN-TV (Channel 32) was originally an early UHF television station in
San Francisco, California , which first began operations in 1954, but had a realtively small audience for many years since few Bay Area television sets had UHF tuners in the 1950s. The station was bought by Metromedia and renamedKNEW-TV , then taken over by KQED (Channel 9) and renamedKQEC-TV to offer additionalPBS programming. KQED now offers several separate digital services and Channel 32 is a foreign language station,KMTP .KSAN Personalities
