Iešjávri (or Iesjavri [Various Sami and Norwegian language terms distinguish different types of lakes. The name "Jávrre": (Lule Sami) or "jávri" (Northern Sami) is used as a suffix for larger lakes. ] ) is a lake in the municipalities of Alta, Kautokeino and Karasjok in Finnmark county, Norway. The lake is the largest in the county and has a length of over 13 kilometres from north to south. 14 metres in depth at the deepest point and 4 metres in depth on average, it is a characteristic Baltic Shield lake.
