star in theconstellation Pavo. It is considered a metal-poor star, which means it has a low abundance of elements heavier thanhelium . It is also orbiting through theMilky Way at an unusually high velocity relative to nearby stars. Although it appears to have a lower mass than our Sun, it is slightly larger in diameter and has a higher temperature.This star has rank 14 on TPC-F's top 100 target stars to search for a rocky planet in the Habitable Zone, approximately 1.2 AU, or a little beyond an Earth-like orbit.
