"Floridante" (HWV 14) is an
opera seria in three acts byGeorge Frideric Handel . The Italian-languagelibretto was byPaolo Antonio Rolli afterFrancesco Silvani 'sLa costanza in trionfo .The opera was first given at the
King's Theatre inLondon on9 December 1721 and again with revisions on4 December 1722 . It was revived in1727 and1733 and also performed inHamburg .
