Prabhu Dayal Public School was founded in the 1950's by Shri Prabhu Dayal Bhatia. The school was then known as Roop Nagar Public School. In September 1986, the school was given its present name as a tribute to the memory of its founder, the late Shri Prabhu Dayal Bhatia (1906-1986), the man who drew from his experience in the fields of education and sports. The school is now run under the aegis of Ms. Bimla Bhatia, daughter of Sh. Prabhu Dayal Bhatia. Prabhu Dayal is located at Main Branch Address: AE Block, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi - 110088. The school's motto is, "Trust Thyself."

Prabhu Dayal Public School is a senior secondary school. It has two independent branches as well. The nursery branch, supervised by Ms. and the junior branch supervised by Ms. Jindal. The main school is headed by Sh. Parshottam Das. The school has had an outstanding track record in the field of education and all round development of students.
