Tabor Science College is a specialist status high school located in Braintree, Essex, England. Its Headmaster, Steven T Clark, is currently the youngest Head in Britain.Fact|date=September 2008

History

The school building was first built around 1994, sharing facilities with Braintree Leisure Centre. Since its opening it has been added to in two stages. The original site contains 30 classrooms, and was intended to be the new building for the Senior section of the Tabor High School located a short walk away. The second stage was completed when the Senior and Middle schools merged, and contains a similar amount of classrooms, and the Third stage (a new building built for the languages faculty was completed in the summer of 2006, adding an extra 4 classrooms and a new faculty office and locker space. The school replaced the Tabor High School as the secondary school for west Braintree and surrounding villages and the old site was knocked down in 2004.

The school has recently developed a new reward scheme and mentoring system, all of which pioneered by Steven T. Clark. The school is now also split into houses, Turner house, Brunel House, Austin House and Redgrave house. These houses are then split into forms in which pupils from all years are placed. The School's teacher/student mentoring programme for year 11's helps those under-achieving.

The students now wear new badges on blazers, featuring the school logo and a coloured rim depending on the house the student belongs to. Brunel = Blue, Redgrave = Red, Austen = Green, and Turner = Yellow. The house names were suggested by staff and pupils and decided on by the senior management team, one - an artist, another - a sportsman, another - an engineer and the last an author. The design differs from the old badge, the new logo consists of a round maroon patch with an uppercase 'T' standing for Tabor. This is then surrounded with a white circle. The badges themselves are square.

The Braintree Collegiate, opened 2007, is Tabor's sixth form which works alongside Braintree College. It accommodates a group of around 20 students who split their timetable across both institutions.
